Start with onboard electronics

Identify the compute module, communications electronics and power-control components needing a thermal path. Describe enclosure surfaces and mounting interfaces. Separate the heat-removal task from any insulation needed around temperature-sensitive parts.

Ground operation and flight

Include ground idle, takeoff and sustained operation in the evaluation brief. Define the airflow, ambient exposure, load duration and mounting arrangement for each relevant condition. Check the added coating or interface mass against the system budget.

Keep claims tied to the application

Structural strength, aerodynamic drag and electromagnetic shielding are separate qualification topics. A thermal coating evaluation does not establish those properties or longer flight endurance. Request evidence for the exact assembly and intended operating environment.
